ST. LOUIS — A man was sentenced for his involvement in a bank fraud scheme that included mail theft at a time when mail theft was on the rise in St. Louis and across the country.
Malik Jones, 28, was sentenced to 42 months in prison for his role in “every step” of a scheme that forged $1.2 million in checks.
According to federal prosecutors, Jones bought a stolen arrow key from a mail carrier in March of 2022, which allowed him to access USPS collection boxes.
