Gov. Pillen Proclaims September Child Welfare Workforce Development Month

LINCOLN, Neb. – On September 16, Governor Jim Pillen proclaimed September as Child Welfare Workforce Development Month, highlighting the essential role of child welfare professionals in protecting children, strengthening families and building safer communities.

The Department of Health and Human Services Division of Children and Family Services (CFS), has prioritized training and professional development, ensuring staff are equipped with the tools, knowledge and support they need to serve children and families.
