BARNARDSVILLE, N.C. — Buncombe County detectives are actively searching for a 56-year-old Barnardsville woman who has been reported missing.
Betty Wheeler, 56, was last seen in the vicinity of 1170 Dillingham Road around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 22, according to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing blue jeans, a flannel shirt, boots and a ballcap, the sheriff’s office said.
Wheeler has blonde curly hair and is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall…
