ASHEVILLE, NC – Ole’s Guacamoles, a brand with nearly two decades of history in Western North Carolina, is making a comeback after Hurricane Helene flooded their locations in Asheville and Black Mountain in September 2024.
The family-owned business is led by Ole and Elena Delatorre, and Elena shared that they will re-open in Black Mountain at 401 E State St, Black Mountain, NC 28711 in the next month or so.
Additionally a new location is under construction at 4 Sweeten Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28803, with hopes to open by Thanksgiving or Christmas.
From Devastation to Rebuilding
After Helene destroyed two of the brand’s locations, the team quickly pivoted, opening a temporary location at 502 W State St, Black Mountain, NC 28711, just six weeks later. “We are very busy. We are very fortunate. We were only unemployed or not working for six weeks,” Delatorre shared. That space continues to operate while permanent rebuilds move forward.
The Asheville Location
The new location on 4 Sweeten Creek Rd will feature a small dining room and a bar. New items will be on the menu when they re-open, like protein lovers options with low carbs, a street foot inspired selection, and margarita flights.
The Black Mountain Location
Re-opening in their full service dining space on 401 E State St, the Black Mountain unit will feature their expansive dining room, a large private room, and a new outdoor bar. They will also serve the new menu items and drinks in this location…
