Facing $1 million shortfall, CARTA looks to restructure routes in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — CARTA keeps many people in Chattanooga moving and connected to everything, but it’s also taxpayer funded.

Now, CARTA is looking to restructure some things after a board meeting last week revealed that they face a nearly $1 million shortfall.

Bus revenue also took a $183,000 hit. CARTA cited a shortfall in route fare collection.
