Woman sues City of Clarksville over police department’s Facebook post accusing her of credit card fraud while using Instacart

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Many people do it to make extra money or even as their main source of income: shopping for delivery services like Instacart.

However, one Clarksville woman said shopping for an order resulted in her being publicly, and wrongly, accused of fraud. Courtney Miller is now suing the City of Clarksville over a Facebook post from the Clarksville Police Department.

When Miller went shopping at Kroger in February 2025, she did not expect to see a photo of her checking out that day to later pop up on her Facebook timeline…
