Authorities are investigating after a pickup truck was recovered from the Cumberland River in Nashville. The Metro Nashville Police Department, Nashville Fire Department, and Office of Emergency Management pulled the vehicle from the water on Saturday afternoon, as per WSMV.
A pickup truck went into the river near Cowan Street on Friday night. Witnesses said someone was seen swimming to shore shortly after. When authorities searched the vehicle the next day, no one was inside, as reported by WKRN. Nashville authorities confirmed the truck’s recovery in a press release.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department on their X account, “MNPD divers teamed with NFD & OEM personnel today to recover a pickup truck that witnesses saw go into the Cumberland River Fri evening off Cowan St. 1 person was reportedly seen swimming to shore Fri night.
