‘Putting residents first’: Port St Lucie city leaders pushing back on development

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — Monday evening Port St Lucie City leaders took a stand on development. During a commission meeting council members voted against a proposal which would have allowed for approximately 1,300 homes to be built near Glades Cut Off Road.

Applicant requested that nearly 400 acres of land near C-24 Canal Road be rezoned to low density residential for the development.
