AG: 47 people convicted, sentenced in major drug networks

New York Attorney General Letitia James announced the convictions and sentencings of 47 people for their roles in two major drug trafficking networks in Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, Orleans, Seneca, Yates and Cayuga counties. The defendants were charged with a total of 177 crimes.

The final ringleader to be sentenced, Michael Danzey, was sentenced Sept. 19 in Wayne County Court to 25 years in prison.

Seized were more than 10 kilograms of fentanyl and more than 1 kilograms of cocaine, with a value of more than $9 million; plus 19 firearms (including assault weapons and ghost guns) and more than $440,000 in cash…
