AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — From now until Jan. 9, the Don Harrington Discovery Center is presenting “Leonardo’s Lab,” a traveling exhibit. The exhibit is organized by Carnegie Science Center and produced in partnership with Sciencenter.
“Leonardo’s Lab” offers young artists and inventors a chance to immerse themselves in the mind of Leonardo Da Vinci and explore all the facets of his work across multiple disciplines, such as art and engineering.

“This is a hands-on exhibit that allows kids and adults of all ages to kind of get to know shapes and forms and get to practice and a lot of the principles of art, as well as the like geometric science that goes into that,” Kamden Slough, DHDC marketing coordinator, said. “So there are different parts of it where you can practice, see the way that Leonardo da Vinci worked, and then take that and learn a little bit more.”
Guests are encouraged to build, sketch, test, and design through activities tied to Da Vinci’s era and ideas. According to Slough, many of the Discovery Center’s exhibits are focused on STEM, so this exhibit offers new opportunities for creative expression…
