GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say one person is without a home and a firefighter is hurt following a fire early Monday morning in Green Bay that caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.
According to a release from the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, crews responded at 12:15 a.m. to reports of a fire at a home on the 800 block of School Place.

Once on the scene, officials say they were faced with a fully engulfed porch with the fire beginning to spread into the home’s main living area.
Crews then worked to put out the porch fire, preventing it from spreading to other homes nearby. Once the initial fire was extinguished, firefighters entered the home to contain the fire’s progression and to put out the flames that had extended into the attic of the home…
