Southwest Houston cleanup uncovers 1,000+ tires

HOUSTON — Clean-up is underway after a resident turned to KHOU 11 for solutions to get a massive pile of trash and tires removed from his southwest Houston neighborhood.

KHOU 11 learned District K City Councilor Martha Castex-Tatum was already working on a solution and said the property owner will now be required to pay the city back to remove the lien placed on the property.

A pile of trash was an unwelcome sight for Adolphus Square. He first saw it during his morning run on Sandpiper Drive. He’s getting another look as crews clear it out…
