Hidden Heroes: Lincoln Northeast drama teacher inspires generations of students

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – In 10/11 NOW’s latest edition of Hidden Heroes at Lincoln Public Schools, we talked with an educator who has been inspiring many for decades at Lincoln Northeast High School.

Drama teacher Mr. Bruce Chapman is described as more than a director: he’s also a mentor. His passion has inspired generations of students, including one who now teaches alongside him.

His former student from 14 years ago, Anthony Anderson, is now the English department chair at Northeast High, “Teaching is a job that goes un-thanked sometimes. I try to strive to be as impactful to my students as he was to me and as he has been to so many others,” said Anderson…
