Boy charged after Freedom High School student dies during TikTok challenge

BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. – A 17-year-old boy faces involuntary manslaughter charges after the death of a Freedom High School student back in June.

The student died after the 17-year-old driver tried to replicate a dangerous TikTok challenge at the high school parking lot, according to a news release from the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office.

The juvenile driver used a rope to tie an upside-down folding table to the back of his vehicle and then pulled the table through the parking lot while another boy, who was also 17, “rode” sitting on top of the table, the DA’s office said…
