Downriver residents spoke out at the Sept. 22 Wyandotte City Council meeting with several calling for Wyandotte City Councilman Todd Hanna to resign after screenshots of social media posts surfaced the week prior.
Hanna shared a Facebook post calling out late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel for saying an “outright lie” about the man who shot conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated Sept. 10 at an event at Utah Valley University. Kimmel made a comment on his show, suggesting MAGA supporters of President Donald Trump are trying to capitalize on Kirk’s death.
“The MAGA gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said on his show.
