Over the next decade, Greensboro leaders aim to address problems common to many downtown areas: vacant storefronts and a lack of street parking.
As the Piedmont Triad emerges as a magnet for major economic developments, most recently California-based JetZero and its pledge of more than 14,500 jobs, Downtown Greensboro Inc. unveiled its 10-year blueprint for the center city. Aside from adding more visitors downtown, it sets a goal to draw 5,000 new residents, add or expand more than 100 street-level businesses and create 3,000 new jobs.
