NASHVILLE — Tennessee gas prices edged down a penny over the past week, keeping the state among the cheapest in the country, according to AAA.
The average price at the pump is $2.77 per gallon of regular, unchanged from a month ago and a penny higher than a year ago. Tennessee has ranked as the nation’s fifth least expensive market for the past two weeks.
“Gas prices held steady over last week, which is good news for drivers,” said Megan Cooper, spokeswoman for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Barring any major changes in the market, Tennesseans will likely reap the benefits of lower crude oil prices and weakening gasoline demand again this week.”…
