Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments seeks input on transportation plan

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — The Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments (WRCOG) is seeking public input on the draft 2045 Rural Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).

“The LRTP outlines a 20-year vision for the region’s multimodal transportation system,” said a spokesperson for WRCOG. “It assesses current conditions, identifies future needs, and recommends improvements. Public feedback, along with data analysis, helped identify transportation needs and priorities.”

WRCOG provides transportation planning for rural areas of Georgetown, Horry, and Williamsburg counties, including the towns of Aynor, Andrews, Greeleyville, Hemingway, Kingstree, Lane, Stuckey and the City of Loris…
