HonorAir asking public to greet East Tennessee veterans returning from Washington D.C. visit

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – On Wednesday, more than 130 East Tennessee veterans will travel to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials built to honor their sacrifices.

The flight is thanks to HonorAir Knoxville, from Prestige Cleaners and Tuxedo. It will be making its 37th flight to the nation’s capital, and the public is invited to welcome veterans home Wednesday evening.

The veterans are scheduled to arrive back at McGhee Tyson Airport at around 7:40 p.m…
