Arkansas committee to discuss internal report on Grant Hardin prisoner escape

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — An Arkansas committee is set to discuss an internal report released by the Department of Corrections regarding Grant Hardin’s May escape from prison.

On Tuesday, lawmakers on the Charitable, Penal and Correctional Institutions Subcommittee of the Arkansas Legislative Council are scheduled to hear testimony from Corrections Secretary Lindsay Wallace and Division of Corrections chief Dexter Payne, as well as Arkansas State Police and members of the Board of Corrections.

A nine-page report, ordered in June by Arkansas prison director Dexter Payne and obtained by KNWA/FOX24 last month, was included with the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting.
