San Antonio man pleads guilty to 5 felonies in cyberstalking case

A San Antonio man accused of cyberstalking and of threatening to kill multiple people — including a U.S. Supreme Court justice  — on Monday pleaded guilty to five felony charges.

Gavin Blake Davis, 47, pleaded guilty to three counts of cyberstalking, one count of interstate communication-threat to injure and one count of influencing a federal official by threat. The pleas came as jury selection was about to begin in the courtroom of U.S. District Judge Fred Biery.

Davis had decided to defend himself in court, and fired six attorneys during the course of his criminal proceedings. He was about to fire a seventh lawyer when Biery had the latest attorney, Robert Switzer, stay on to assist Davis in his case…
