CORVALLIS, Ore. – Corvallis firefighters responded early Monday morning to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of a local hotel, according to Corvallis Fire and Rescue officials.
Fire authorities said that fire crews responded just after 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 22 to reports of a car on fire with nearby trees also igniting and other vehicles that were reportedly threatened. Battalion 116 and Engine 133 were dispatched to combat the blaze. Initial reports suggested that nearby trees and vehicles were at risk but, upon arrival, crews found only a single vehicle fully engulfed in flames with a nearby tree slightly affected.
