Washtenaw County, MI – Traffic Alert: US-23 Lane Closures Start Friday Night

Ann Arbor, MI – Drivers traveling on US-23 in Washtenaw County should prepare for delays starting Friday night, Sept. 26, as lane closures go into effect near Joy Road for construction work.

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the closures will allow crews to set beams for a bridge project. The work is scheduled to begin late Friday and will primarily impact overnight traffic, though delays may extend into early morning hours.
