Judge denies bond for Sullivan’s Island man facing domestic violence charge

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – One of the four men accused of being a predator by U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace will remain behind bars after a judge denied bond in an unrelated case.

Eric Bowman of Sullivan’s Island is charged with first-degree domestic violence, according to jail records. Sullivan’s Island Police filed those charges in August in connection with a Sept. 26, 2016, incident at his home, investigators said.

A court order filed Tuesday states a judge denied a request for bond, stating that Bowman violated a previous consent bond order and that he is a danger to the alleged victim.
