7 men sentenced in large-scale meth trafficking in Cincinnati linked to cartel

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The final chapter in a sweeping national narcotics conspiracy concluded as the last defendant was sentenced to 94 months in federal prison. That marked the end of a significant case involving the distribution of over 100 pounds of methamphetamine from California to the Cincinnati area, orchestrated by a network connected to the Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG).

Juan-Jose Carrillo, 32, of Compton, California, was identified as a key supplier in the operation, coordinating methamphetamine deliveries to high-level distributors in southern Ohio. Carrillo’s sentencing follows those of six other co-conspirators, four of whom received sentences exceeding 100 months.

The other defendants include Franklin Johnson, sentenced to 156 months; Gerald Jeter, Jr., 132 months; Anthony Clardy II, 104 months; Dre’Quan Christopher, 102 months; Robert Day, 72 months; and Tyrone Jordan, 36 months…
