LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Detroit residents rank 2nd out of the largest 100 cities in the U.S. for the percent of income spent on fast food, according to a WalletHub report.
To determine how much cities are spending on fast food, WalletHub analyzed the price of hamburgers, pizza, and chicken sandwiches across the country.
They then added the individual cost of the components and adjusted the resulting figure to the median monthly income in each city.

Detroit residents spend 0.67% of their median monthly household income on fast food expenses, placing them only a fraction of a percentage point behind the top-ranking city, Cleveland, OH, which spends 0.68%…
