Early this morning, a shooting in Fort Lauderdale resulted in a man being hospitalized with serious injuries. The incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. at 1431 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, where the victim was discovered with a gunshot wound. According to Local 10 News, the man was transported as a trauma alert to Broward Health Medical Center.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue initially responded to the scene, as detailed by NBC Miami. Upon arrival, crews found the injured man, and a Local 10 News crew later observed a heavily damaged car that had collided with a concrete wall outside a condominium building.
