Hispanic Heritage Month: Cuban business owners break barriers with ‘first Cuban bakery in Knoxville’

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — September marks Hispanic Heritage Month, and in Tennessee, one family is honoring their Cuban roots.

In just four years, the owners of “Pastelito Cuban Bakery” have gone from perfecting recipes in their home kitchen to selling at farmers’ markets and catering — and now, owning a shop of their own.
