San Francisco Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Golden Gate Avenue Shooting

“SAN FRANCISCO, CA — On September 14, 2025, at approximately 6:31 p.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of Golden Gate Ave. and Turk St. regarding a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid, and paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries. Despite the lifesaving efforts of the emergency responders and medical staff, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased in the hospital.

Through the course of the investigation, officers located a person who matched the description of the shooting suspect, who was detained by BART PD in Oakland. SFPD officers met with BART PD and the detained person. SFPD officers determined that the detained person was the shooting suspect. SFPD officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect, who was identified as a 26-year-old male, Frank Garcia-Calloway.
