Bradenton nears completion of $100M wastewater infrastructure project

  • Improvements include $9 million in lining 35 miles of pipes to stop rainwater intrusion with $15 million in additional improvements planned.
  • The goal is to stop wastewater discharges into the Mantee River.

BRADENTON, Fla. It’s a problem that can’t be fixed overnight, but the City of Bradenton has been working on improving and upgrading its wastewater infrastructure.

It’s a process that has taken years and will cost more than $100 million dollars.

While it has been a long process, Mayor Gene Brown said the results will be seen for generations to come.
