South Texas Weather Alert: Heavy Rain Could Cause Flooding Wednesday–Friday

Corpus Christi, TX – South Texans should prepare for periods of heavy rain beginning Wednesday evening and lasting through Friday, raising the risk of localized flooding.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Corpus Christi, widespread rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are expected, with localized amounts up to 4 inches possible in the heaviest storms. The greatest impacts are likely in urban areas, creeks, low-lying locations, and along roadways where water can quickly pond.
