Fort Worth mayor shares how the city is gearing up for an epic World Cup showcase next summer

FORT WORTH, Texas — Cowtown is gearing up for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with the global spotlight turning to North Texas next summer.

“This is our opportunity to really work together to put on a world-class event, and I know we’re ready for it,” said Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker.

DFW will host more World Cup matches than any other city in the country, including a semifinal inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, which will be transformed into a soccer venue called Dallas Stadium, as part of the hosting agreement.
