SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A section of Brookeside Drive is set to close on Thursday, Sept. 25, for the expansion of the Springfield Art Museum.
According to a City of Springfield press release, traffic between Green Avenue and Linwood Circle will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday for the pouring of a concrete slab foundation for the museum’s expansion.

The city asks motorists to travel a detour route either around Virginia Avenue, Catalpa Street, Kings Avenue or Bennett Street.
