Reno filmmakers premiere final chapter of award-winning horror trilogy

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Tahoe Joe, a homegrown success story in the world of independent cinema is coming to its finale. Reno filmmakers Dillon Brown and Michael Rock, real-life friends and fathers who turned weekend filmmaking into an award-winning horror franchise, will premiere the final film in their trilogy, Tahoe Joe 3: Concrete Wilderness, October 1 on Found TV. The film will expand to wider streaming later this year.

The project is a true community collaboration. The cast is filled with local Reno talent, and the film proudly features multiple members of the disabled and veteran community in meaningful roles. Local business, Terror, a beloved part of Reno’s creative scene, also plays a role in the movie, bringing even more hometown flavor to the story.

The trilogy has found recognition far beyond Northern Nevada, with the first two entries screening at festivals nationwide, picking up multiple awards, and earning a devoted cult audience of horror fans. This final chapter builds on that momentum, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty and mystique of Lake Tahoe to create a brand-new local legend…
