ALBANY — Two food concepts from NeoVista Equities, a downstate real estate company moving rapidly into the local market with purchases including Jack’s Oyster House, are projected to open downtown in the coming months, according to a NeoVista representative. The promised revival of the legendary oyster house and additional restaurant projects remain further in the future, the representative said.
Jack’s Deli, with an official address of 41 State St., across from Jack’s Oyster House at 44 State but with an entrance around the corner on Broadway, has had demolition and construction permits approved and should be open by the end of the year, said Flerida Santana Johnas, regional director for NeoVista Equities. The company, based in Long Island, bought the Jack’s Oyster House building and a five-story property on nearby James Street earlier this year.
Jack’s Deli will be built in two contiguous leased spaces — one a former office, the other now-closed restaurants including OkiPoki and Dali Mamma.
