DC police seek bicyclist accused of striking woman in Northwest

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — D.C. police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a bicyclist who allegedly ran over a woman in Northwest, knocking her unconscious over the weekend.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the incident took place at around 7 p.m. on Sept. 20, in the 1700 block of Columbia Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the woman, unconscious but breathing, lying in the middle of the roadway, according to a police report.

Medics took her to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
