Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools to offer free CDL-A training for seniors

CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System is excited to announce the launch of their partnership with Armored Trucking Academy of Clarksville, which will offer high school seniors a direct pathway into one of the nation’s most in-demand career fields. Beginning this school year, eligible 12th-grade students can apply for the CDL-A Training Program, a one semester course that equips students with real-world skills and the opportunity to graduate with their CDL-A licensure at absolutely no cost.

Graduates of the program will leave high school with more than a diploma – they’ll hold a professional license that opens the door to immediate, well-paying careers in transportation, logistics, and beyond. From truck driving to diesel mechanics, ready-mix operators, and supply chain management, the possibilities are endless.

With Tennessee’s strong reliance on trucking to power its economy, and Clarksville-Montgomery County’s rapidly growing industrial footprint, the demand for licensed drivers and logistics professionals has never been greater.
