A Georgia state representative serving a district that covers parts of Hall and Jackson counties says he will retire next year.
District 31 State Representative Emory Dunahoo (R-Gillsville) said on WDUN’s “The Martha Zoller Show” Wednesday morning, September 24, that he will retire at the end of his term, which expires at the end of 2026.
“I have been blessed for several years to represent my constituents, and through health problems and different things the last few years, I’ve prayed about it,” Dunahoo said. “It’s not my seat. It’s a seat for the constituents of Georgia. It’s a seat for what’s right. I hope I’ve represented it well…It’s time to let somebody else step up and run for my seat.”…
