Kentucky sheriff hit as he sits in cruiser at accident scene

A Kentucky sheriff was hit as he sat in his cruiser at a crash scene.

Kentucky State Police said the incident happened on I-64 on Sunday when Montgomery County Sheriff David Charles was assisting a Bath County fire department shut down the interstate following an accident.

While Charles was still in his cruiser, a 2025 Dodge Ram, with his emergency equipment activated, 61-year-old Michael Morris, of Lawrenceburg, struck the rear of the sheriff’s cruiser, state police said…
