FOLSOM — A sweeping, multi-agency operation led by the Folsom Police Department resulted in more than 100 arrests over the last week, targeting fentanyl and other dangerous drugs across Northern California.
Dubbed Operation Folsom Blues 3.0, the five-day enforcement effort ran September 15 through 19 and brought together local, state, and federal agencies in one of the region’s largest coordinated drug crackdowns to date.
The Folsom Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit spearheaded the operation, partnering with law enforcement agencies from Sacramento, El Dorado, Santa Clara, Colusa, Amador, Yolo, Yuba, and Placer Counties. Additional support came from the California Highway Patrol, California Department of Parole, Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI, the DEA, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
Efforts centered on disrupting online sales of fentanyl, serving search warrants, and conducting interdiction operations and high-impact patrols in areas known for drug activity.
