From cigarette butts to a pink stiletto, volunteers remove 3,374 pounds of trash
Santa Barbara County’s Coastal Cleanup Day drew nearly 1,000 volunteers to 30+ sites from Rincon to Jalama on Saturday, September 20th. In just three hours, participants cleaned 59 miles of coastline and removed more than 3,374 pounds of litter, according to preliminary results from Explore Ecology, with 90% of sites reporting.
