Green Bay police promote six officers during ceremony

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — The Green Bay Police Department celebrated the promotions of six of its members this week, recognizing their years of service and leadership to the department and community.

The promotion ceremony was held Wednesday, where officers advanced into new leadership roles ranging from sergeant to commander.

“These promotions reflect the outstanding leadership, commitment, and service these six individuals have consistently demonstrated to our department and the community we serve,” Police Chief Chris Davis said. “Please join me in congratulating each of them.”

The promoted officers include:

  • Sergeant Chris Vaubel — 6 years of service
  • Lieutenant Brian Krueger — 16 years of service
  • Lieutenant Erik O’Brien — 12 years of service
  • Captain Mike Sobieck — 19 years of service
  • Captain Tom Denney — 15 years of service
  • Commander Matt Cain — 26 years of service
