SALT LAKE CITY — A man previously convicted of threatening a judge was charged Tuesday with threatening others while in prison, and doing so by referencing a notorious serial killer.
Fredrick Eugene Greghun, 46, of West Jordan, is charged in 3rd District Court with four counts of making a threat of terrorism, a second-degree felony; four counts of threatening a judge or board member, a third-degree felony; plus two counts of interfering with a public servant and four counts of making a threat of violence, class B misdemeanors.
Greghun was originally sentenced to a term of zero to five years in the Utah State Prison in 2020 for violating a protective order, according to court records. Then in 2021, while incarcerated, he was charged with “threatening to kill a judge, his defense attorney, and other members of court personnel” and convicted again, court documents state…
