Churchill residents raise concerns over proposed housing development

A developer aims to build low-density housing on 12.5-acre plot behind Willamette Christian Center off of West 18th Avenue and Hawkins Lane in Eugene.

Metro Planning, a planning and land use consultant hired by the developer, held a public meeting Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Willamette Christian Center for neighbors to voice concerns and comments about the project. About 70 residents attended.

During the meeting, Metro Planning handed out plans for the proposed community, called Juniper Springs. The plan shows the developer intends to split the land into 54 lots and build additional streets and associated infrastructure.
