North Augusta Officials Showcase City’s Development Amid Rapid Growth

City leaders boarded a trolley Monday night to inspect construction sites across North Augusta. The sites will add 7,000 new homes to this growing South Carolina city.

Council members and planners left their usual meeting location to check progress at key spots. At Exit 1, The Hive stands out as a major project that will build 668 new living spaces.

“My family and I have ridden our downtown trolley many times in North Augusta,” Planning Commissioner Lisa Christie said per WRDW/WAGT. “But it was really nice just getting to see some commercial development, residential — kind of really get our eyes on where the townhouses are going, where’s the commercial going, and things like that.”…
