CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The Market Street parking garage elevator is out again, a week after both elevators were down. It’s part of a recurring problem that’s been frustrating those using the garage for weeks.
The city says a service crew has been out, but the fix won’t be complete until the manufacturer sends parts for a full overhaul.
“Right now, the only way to get to the top of Market Street Parking Garage is through the stairs, which not everybody can use stairs, so we need to make sure that everybody is able to get to the Downtown Mall or anywhere downtown in the downtown area, easily and accessibly,” Charlottesville Public Engagement Coordinator Caroline Rice said…
