Yesterday morning, an individual opened fire at an Amazon warehouse located on the east side of Columbus, Georgia, instigating a police response that concluded with the suspect’s death by suicide. The event unfolded just before the sun rose, at a time when calls to 911 reported multiple gunshots being fired from outside the facility on Osceola Court. As per the FOX 5 Atlanta report, law enforcement discovered the assailant some distance from where the initial shots were discharged, leading to a brief standoff.
An absence of additional injuries was confirmed. The Columbus Police Department relayed that the unidentified man began his assault outside the structure, then proceeded to distance himself from the scene.
