MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An inmate was found dead at the Dyer County Jail on Wednesday, according to the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said Deandre Pickering was found dead in his cell, where he was housed alone, and no foul play is suspected.
DCSO said correction officers called for deputies and Medical Center EMS to respond to the scene where Pickering was pronounced dead at 5:38 a.m.
