Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public’s Help to Identify Suspects in Arson Case Near Biscayne River

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is on the hunt for two young men, believed to be between the ages of 18 and 25, in connection with an arson case that left a vehicle scorched near a canal bank. The vehicle was reportedly set ablaze on September 12 at approximately 6:31 A.M., behind a residence on 1021 S. Biscayne River Dr., Miami, FL. reports the MDSO.

Upon receiving the call, deputies and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue team swiftly responded and were successful in extinguishing the vehicle’s flames. Further investigation concluded the fire was intentional. Surveillance captured from the scene showed the perpetrators at a local gas station filling up a container with gasoline before fleeing the area post ignition. The detectives on the case are now asking for the community’s assistance in identifying the two unknown subjects.

No injuries were reported during the incident, and the crime-stoppers tip line (305-994-1000) is open for anyone who may have information regarding the suspects’ identities or whereabouts.
