SOLON, Iowa — Iowa’s Statewide Volunteer Day is Saturday, September 27, and the parks are calling on community members to lend a hand and help tidy up Iowa’s green spaces.
“Statewide Volunteer Day is a play on the National Public Lands Day and it’s a good opportunity for people to come out to their public lands and give back,” Jason Dykstra, Park Ranger at Lake Macbride State Park said.
